All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London....

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

Going on this bus tour was very spur of the moment, we had no previous knowledge about it either. I was pleasantly surprised, we had a fun night and the actors were great (and I found myself looking up some of the ghost stories for more information). Not what I expected, but still had a good laugh.

This was an amazing bus tour through London, with spooky and comedy moments. Special thanks to the great actors for the cool show. We enjoyed it a lot!

It was kinda cheesy, I wanted to see some really good haunted places, and they did take you to some, but not the popular and historical ones. So I was sort of disappointed. But enjoyed it as much as I could!

We particularly got to the meeting place half hour early so we could get the seats upstairs as we desperately wanted for the best sights, We were delighted to find we were 2nd in line so were guarenteed our seats. However after the bus had pulled up one of the staff suddenly appeared beside us in the queue and told... More

Easy to find location with dedicated bus stop! One tour guide was brilliant; very informative but still fun - other guide that wandered about added nothing to it and was a bit annoying. However the entire experience was very well organised and I felt suitably spooked!

I have wanted to do the Ghost Tour for some time and finally got round to it. What a great way to spend an hour or two. The conductor had the whole bus in hysterics from the very beginning, she was hilarious. You do get to hear a lot of grisly facts about London history but it is delivered in... More

I booked these tickets a few weeks ago and I didn't really know what to expect. Well it was brilliant from start to finish. The stories were really interesting and had me searching on google as soon as I was off the bus for more grisly details. The actors were both amazing, the conductor was funny and dramatic and the... Conductor and actors very good throughout the tour. Great way to see London by night and be entertained as you go along. The conductor was so knowledgeable as we went along, he pointed out places you could easily miss as you walk around. He also gave us a little bit of the history of each place we visited. So it... We really enjoyed our Ghost Bus tour. It was pretty silly but quite funny too, and our 'guide' was quite informative too, about the places we drove past. We didn't quite 'get' the "health inspector's" visit, we thought this would have worked better if she played the role of a mad woman who got on the bus to terrorise the... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
