Description:

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London....

All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

This was more comedy than horror. The bus visits most of the important places in London and the tour guide / conductor provides tidbits of interesting historical information along the way. A lot of time is taken up, though, by the by-play in the bus between the two characters. I would have loved more true stories of London crime and... More

The whole experience was great fun from start to finish. You don't need to be particularly brave to go on this tour, just have a sense of fun and go with it. Our guides were professional and well informed and gave us great entertainment.

I did enjoy this trip for what it was; tidbits of information and a comedy horror show. I think the advertising and website made it seem more educational that it turned out to be, which is what I was after as a history nerd. We found the two actors funny but it distracted from the tour too much. I enjoyed... More

Was booked last minute on our trip to London. Was a little apprehensive as had heard various different reviews but the my husband and I loved it. Actors were brilliant, very funny and brought it all to life. Would definetly do it again.

Booked for friends visiting from out of town and wasn't disappointed. The actors on the bus are great and very funny, everyone enjoyed even the ones that got a little scared :) Nice was to see the city for tourists as London always looks amazing at night time along the river. Pre-booking can save you money and look for group... More

Spooky sightseeing tour through London at night. You travel in a necrobus while they tell you about the ghosts which are still around.. Nicely done and very scary ;)

More funny than scary! A little more frightful would have added to the fun! A lot to improve on but good enough though. Slightly overpriced i thought. £21 per person. Felt about £10 worth to me!

We arrived at the pick up point to be met by a large black bus. The little touches had all been thought of and it looked amazing. After being ushered on board we took our seats. The conductor interacted with both the teenagers and the younger children in our party really well. No one was left out. The tour began... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
