We always head to the Arcola for new plays and serious writing. We saw "The Plague" recently and were not disappointed. Very good production. Small theatre. Good restaurants in up and coming neighborhood. Easily accessed by bus and Overground.

Very intimate and immersive theatre experience. Great place to see the Belarus Free Theatre and Tomorrow I was Always a Lion. If it was my local theatre I would see every production. The bar was very buzzy and lively.

Great play, "how to date a feminist" in the studio theatre. Great atmosphere in the place, easy to book and well organised.

My friend who lives in London invited me to the play " Love Bombs and apples". Play was great and setting is small with the main stage is open on 3 sides. There is a bar upstairs which has good service.

Have been here loads of times, most recently to see the brilliant monologue by Greg Hicks in The Kreutzer Sonata. This "off West End" theatre puts on splendid productions year round, and is quite easy to get to, being virtually across the road of Dalston...More

If you do nothing else this summer, go down to Arcola Theatre and see Tosca as part of the Grimeborn Opera Festival. There are only 7 performances left so opportunities are limited, but what a thrill it is. It is theatre of the most dramatic...More

Hugely entertaining plays on a range of important and relevant topics. I have seen several performances that it would have been a tragedy to miss, that had their premier or, only performances here. The venue itself is unusual in that it has a number of...More
