We took our children to see the Gangsta Granny Stage Show (from the The David Walliams book of the same name). Not only was the show fantastic, the theatre is a lovely venue, easily accessed and easy to find. The only complaint I would have is that there seems to be a lot of ambient noise from from the audience... More

This is our second visit to this great old theatre and we will be back on our next visit to Liverpool. Everyone is so helpful, kind and friendly. My wife is in electric wheelchair, she found everything was ok and there was plenty of space for her wheelchair. You could sit in wheelchair at rear of theatre. If you book... More

DO NOT go to see "Ghost" at this theatre if you are expecting a BSL interpreted performance. Interpreter was terrible, placed at the wrong side of the stage, was concealed by dry ice; the whole thing was a massive disappointment. Theatre being dismissive about complaints.

Lovely old building which has hosted some real stars over the years. I Have watched some great shows here, good view from everywhere I sat. Though legroom is not a strong point ! Like most Theaters drinks and snacks are not cheap. Staff are friendly and helpful. Always worth a visit.

I adore the Liverpool Empire. I go at least once a year to see a show with friends and family. I just think that the Empire is a real venue - the acoustics are great, its a beautiful building and you feel part of the show, unlike these cavernous arenas which are so popular now for artists. The most recent... More

We went there for the first time in many years a few weeks back to see Sunny Afternoon - The story of The Kinks. It was a great show at a great venue. Forgot how good a theatre this is, we will be going back again.

Absolutely fantastic evening yet again at Liverpool Empire Theatre. Ghost was quite simply spellbinding with such a talented cast we can only encourage everyone to go. We were in seats F45-46 in the lower circle and had a really good view of the stage.

Over the years we have been to the Empire on many occasions as a family, on date nights and with friends and it never disappoints. Most recently a girlfriend and I went to see the David Bowie experience and it was totally spectacular. Yes the building is showing its age in parts and yes there is always always a ridiculous...
