The stories and the pictures are central to the visit, but also the appearance of a house with fittings just as they were gives such a strong reminder of how different life is in such a short space of time - windows with condensation running...More

Great to see both houses back to back and compare. Lennon lived here for 18 years and the house is full of stories and memorabilia brought to life by the excellent curator - a clear 60s Beatles fan :-) Well worth a visit

John's house is now owned by the National Trust and tickets can only be pre-booked. Unfortunately we didn't know this until we saw the sign outside so we couldn't go in.

I am an absolute mega-fan and travelled all the way from Australia but my friend isn't and we both thoroughly enjoyed our National Trust tour of John and Paul's homes. Make sure you pre-book a tour with the National Trust as it's the only way...More

You get the sense of how just an ordinary lad John Lennon was by visiting his home. On this occasion we could only visit the outside even though a National Trust Property as it is only open at certain times mainly in the summer months

The fact that the original, actual furniture isn't still there did not lessen the impact of being inside the homes where John and Paul grew up and collaborated with one another. Just sitting in Paul's living room in the same... More
