This visit is a complete waste of money. Everything inside, has been put in place for the visitor. It is very questionable as to what inside the house was genuine. I would not waste your time, there are far better Beatles attractions, which are free...More

I'm a George Harrison Fan who traveled to Liverpool in 2017 for Beatle Week. I went to Mendips without Great Expectations. I was blown away. To stand on that front porch where John & Paul were sent to avoid intruding on the boarders Mime had...More

Even if you are not a Beatles fan going on the NT tour is still worthwhile. Bus takes you from Jury's hotel and you get an hour with a very competent guide and freedom to view the house and lots of mementos. No photographs allowed...More

Just loved seeing all their homes. This one was interesting because his Mom was killed just a few doors away in a fatal accident. Very sad. Paul's mom also died when he was young which was another reason he and John became very close.

We did the trip with the National Trust, as we’re members. It’s the only excursion to John’s house which allows you inside. The custodian of the house, Colin Hill, is very knowledgable and excellent at telling the story of John’s time at the house.

The stories and the pictures are central to the visit, but also the appearance of a house with fittings just as they were gives such a strong reminder of how different life is in such a short space of time - windows with condensation running...More

To visit you have to book with the National Trust who transport you both Forthlin Road and Mendips in minibus adorned with a photo of John and Paul on the side. Both houses have been faithfully reproduced inside with period furniture and it really is...More

Great to see both houses back to back and compare. Lennon lived here for 18 years and the house is full of stories and memorabilia brought to life by the excellent curator - a clear 60s Beatles fan :-) Well worth a visit

Part of our Beatles taxi tour. Driver gave us loads of info about this traditional Liverpool home, which we didn't know ( even though we have lived in Liverpool all our lives!). Part of National trust now, so well maintained & fits in brilliantly with...More

The fact that the original, actual furniture isn't still there did not lessen the impact of being inside the homes where John and Paul grew up and collaborated with one another. Just sitting in Paul's living room in the same... More
