Handy little coffee shop on the ground floor. Incredibly helpful library staff on hand, I was provided with temporary internet access for my stay in Liverpool. The round room is well worth a visit.

this library has been modernist but has kept the round room with all the original wood panelling. It is a must see for all visitors to the city ,the mix of old and new works really well. You can get out on to a roof terrace and view the city, great for taking pictures

This is a good place to go on a cold, wet day, where the historic areas blend with the modernised parts. Read or browse in the amazing old, galleried, circular library. Look into local history with helpful assistants. Sit with gorgeous books on film, mediterranean gardens or just read the papers & have a coffee or lunch in The Deli... More

The central library was rebuilt a few years ago and has a lovely airy foyer, good coffee shop and loads of computers, space and an amazing children's section. The real highlight, however, is the old parts of the building - especially the stunning circular reading rooms. They are slightly harder to find and need a bit of wandering but are... More
