Hidden right in the middle of the town centre this is an excellent pit stop for a lunch or even just a coffee away from the hullabaloo of the busy shops.

This building is nicely hidden off the main shopping streets and is a lovely, peaceful place. It has an attractive café and the historic buildings are worth a visit.

Situated off the main strip of stores in Liverpool city centre. Great old fashioned school building which is beautifully ornate. Helpful staff and volunteers always on hand. The refurbishment is clear and there's an interesting section of wall in between the new and old structures. You could spend x15 mins here or several hours which is great. None mainstream art... We found this lovely cafe when we were in Liverpool to catch the Chinese New Year celebrations. Although it was after 2pm they were still serving lunch with a smile. Worth finding away from the bustle of city centre retail and nearby Liverpool One. Steeped in history and still oozing arts, crafts and quirky boutiques and eateries. Pleasant gardens. Used to love it years ago when local artists displayed on the railings outside. Still have a few originals hanging at home to this day. Make Bluecoat your personal chill pill... More

Visit the bluecoat often,coffee and light lunch people watching in the courtyard a must in the summer,they have great guided walks around the city(have been on many,some are free.discovered many interesting things about the city.lights night is always lively at the bluecoat.some great gigs there.well woth signing up to the bluecoat,whats on guide. Staff always very helpful.
