I go to the Tate in London quite a lot but this was my first time to Liverpools. As I walked in I was greeted by a member of staff, who spoke to me about the museum and told us where to put our bags. (You have to put your bag in a locker, but you get your £1 back).... More

Came along yesterday with twin 8 year olds and two 13 year olds. We had a look around and after taking a real good look at the bed art I did actually find it interesting. My girls joined in the autism friendly activities which were great. The staff throughout the building were friendly and helpful.

It isn't that big, but it is very strange, with various types of modern art, which probably has interest for some, but not for me. It is free and has a nice cafe on the ground floor, with decent food.

Visited to get a grasp of new art during a visit to the Dock. My, what a poor effort. Nice building, good attentive staff but what utter pap being exhibited. From a dystopian swearing robotic tale, to a terracotta set of Pigs teats, the exhibition certainly was entertaining. I couldn't stop laughing. I'm so uncultured......back to the national gallery, methinks.

Had a chat with staff member about Tracey Emin "My Bed" after just watching another staff member giving a talk on the subject. I don't know where they dragged these two blokes from but their enthusiasm and passion was incredible (Even my kids took note), well done Tate for a quality recruitment process. This isn't everyones cup of tea but... More

Some interesting things to see such as the robots. A lot of the ART not to our taste but our young grandson (then 17 months old) thought it was wonderful. He could see things we couldn't such as a dog and his daddie's shoes. It was wet and cold so kept us warm and dry!!

Went to see the Yves Klein exhibition - which was disappointing. The restaurant and facilities were great though

The Tate always has something to capture imagination and push thoughts on art. I like looking but wouldn't pretend to understand a lot of modern art but Tate is always great for creativity and expression. It's always worth talking to the the Tate guides. They help you see things you might otherwise miss. 😊

Located in the heart of Albert dock. Free entry, you can pay for the specific exhibitions on the fourth floor. A varied selection of artists so there should be something for everyone. Plenty of activities for all ages to get involved in. Really well though out. Including the chairs you can carry and position when taking in the pieces. A... More
