The ferry across the mersey as the song goes is well worth the trip. a hop-on hop-off tour on the river mersey with opportunities to visit locations on the far side of the river. All part of the nostalgia surrounding mersey side.

I would say you need to check with the ferry company and the Mersey authorities, but start with the ferry company they might be able to arrange everything if its possible. They all seem so helpful.

During the afternoon / or late afternoon is the best for photographs. If you want to hop off & visit the space exhibition then go during the morning- as it will give you more time.
