Three great attractions. One great day out. Medieval Wall Walk. Victorian Prison. Magna Carta. Enjoy spectacular views across Lincolnshire from our completed Medieval Wall Walk. Visit the David P.J. Ross Magna Carta Vault and see one of only four remaining original Magna Carta along side the Charter of the Forest. Immerse yourself in the lives of prisoners and their daily routines in the Victorian Prison and see the unique separate system chapel. 1000 years of history - where it happened.

Tried to get into the castle grounds with a dog. No chance they would not consider it. We didn't want to go to any of the internal elements but they were very inflexible. This meant we had to send our daughter and grandson in on...More

I took my wife to Lincoln castle to see a cliff Richard concert and what a great time she had. He's 76 years old but hell he is fitter than most of us. Cliff danced around the stage like a spring chicken my wife loved...More

I made a relatively short visit whilst on a business trip. I took a guided tour, which was really interesting. The castle is small compared to, for example, the great castles of Wales but it is relatively intact and there is lots of history to...More

A very historic Castle that was being used for Cliff Richard Concert, as a Concert venue it was not very good as it is on the flat, if you are any distance from the stage then your view is limited by whoever sits in front...More

We visited here to see The Forest Charter & Doomsday Book. It was expensive for a student & my mum a full paying adult at £25 ish for us 2. The walls were long & very big with fab views along the way.

Either go for a free stroll around the grounds or pay to walk the walls, it's all amazing! We often take a picnic and sit on the grass, such amazing surroundings. I highly recommend paying to go into the prison, amazing!

The closest carpark is about 100 yards from the castle; HOWEVER, it only has about a 30 car capacity, with 2 spaces for blue badges. The other more commonly used larger carpark is about 1/2 mile away. I would suggest... More

Coming to lincoln for two days. If I buy a joint ticket online for the castle and cathedral do I have to see them both on the same day or can I go to see castle one day, cathedral the next day?

Hi, You don't have to visit both attractions on the same day. The Joint ticket provides a lot of flexibility and includes a free return visit for both attractions to be used within 6 months.

Good Morning. Our visitors are always surprised about how much time they spend at Lincoln Castle. It is a day out and as a minimum, we recommend allowing at least two hours for your visit.
