We took a visiting friend to Boston. We had never been before although we knew of "Boston Stump" I had no idea it was such a beautiful church. Although we didn't go up the tower on this occasion I certainly will next time.

Like Lincoln Cathedral, this church has links with the exploration and settlement of both North America and Australia. Look for the memorial to the Lincoln explorers Bass and Flinders, as well as the headstones commemorating the pilgrims. Take the tour of the stained glass windows. For a treat, look at the carvings from the 1390's under the seats in the... More

I visit this place often as I'm in Boston every weekend. This week I bought 20 bricks to add to their LEGO model of the church which is going to raise £100,000 for their funds. It's a lovely building, and especially of interest to me as an organist and choirmaster because John Taverner was the first organist here until his... More

Returning to Boston after many years a climb up The Stump tower was rewarded with an astounding panoramic view of the town and surrounding fens. A beautiful church, the landmark for invading aircraft in the war it still has the flood marks on the pillars.

We visited the church today it is an amazing place . There is a tea room inside the church for a cup of tea and a cake. Then you can walk off the cake by climbing the 200+ steps to the top of the bell tower for an amazing view of the countryside. Just outside the church is the Guild... More

This is a parish church of cathedral proportions. The stained lass is magnificent. I wish I'd had more time to spend a longer visit, and to climb the 200+ steps to see the view from the top of "the stump".
