Daughter currently at Lincoln Uni suggested a visit to the Castle and Cathedral and en route said we would have to go up Steep Hill, but intimated she had done this many times. I nearly died! It is so steep and cobbled which doesn't help,...More

A good work out for the legs and fine indicates of why in the castles no one would want to march on it in armour up here. Full of interesting, quirky and traditional shops, bars and restaurants.

Very similar to The Shambles in York but this, obviously, is on a very steep hill. Walking up it with a pram was a challenge that needed a break half way through lol. Very nice area of Lincoln a must see!

They named it steep hill for a reason, but full of lovely individual shops and cafes. Best not to wear high heels though. 🤣

It really is a Steep Hill, lined with a mixture of houses and quaint little shops and tea rooms. But it's about the best way to get to the cathedral and castle.
