Went after visiting the King Richard centre. Strangely moving seeing the final resting place of KRlll Was particularly impressed with the cloth used to cover the coffin and the beautiful new stained glass window. I would say it is the most beautiful window I have seen the colours were amazing.

The area surrounding the Cathedral is very attractive. Inside, the guides are very helpful and knowledgeable. It was marvellous to see the tomb of Richard 111 - a work of art. And a must-see is the embroidered pall covering - stunning.

Was quiet busy with Christmas bazaar so the atmosphere was not quite as it should be. Worth a look and of course worth looking at the tomb of Richard III

While small for a cathedral it is full of history being the final resting place for Richard the Third . The plain stone memorial containing his bones is beautiful and the newly commissioned windows in the side chapel are so full of stories. Unfortunately it was dull when we visited but I suspect on a sunny day they are stunning.... More

The new burial place for King Richard 111 is beautifully simple and impressive. Also the new stain glass window with the footbal in the bottom corner! And if visiting this, go opposite to the King Richard 111 museum for an edifying treat of everything leading up to the King's discovery in the car park!

After many years away living away from Leicester it was interesting to visit the Cathederal to the the re-interned Richard III. The whole area around the site seems much cleaner than I remember (from 30 years ago) and I'm glad I went. Well worth a visit if you like history with the 600 year old Guildhall nearby as well as... 12th century church not dedicated as a cathedral until 1927 had a huge makeover at my expense (Leicester City taxpayer) for the Richard III Society love-in a couple of years ago. The Richard III exhibition is housed opposite. Worth including in a visit to Leicester, especially for people interested in history and architecture of which Leicester has a feast if... More

Having travelled from Greece especially to pay my respect at the tomb of King Richard III I find it closed for the whole day for a conference. Conferences can be held at other venues and a church should not be closed for this reason. On top of that the steward was extremely rude. I may never be able to do... More
