Blackpool Zoo is a family friendly attraction, providing fun and education for all ages. Situated only 2 miles inland the Promenade, the park is easily accessible from the M55 motorway. Over 1000 animals, birds and reptiles reside in a scenic 32 acre park amidst mature trees, lakes and spacious lawns where the kids can burn off their excess energy. All your favourites are here including big cats, elephants, giraffes, sealions, gorillas, orangutans, camels, zebras and many, many more. Opened in 2014, the new Orangutan Outlook allows visitors to get up close and personal with these charismatic apes. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10 am, the park's closing times vary seasonally.

We absolutely love Blackpool zoo. The animals all look well kept and the fact that you can closer to them than at Chester zoo is a big hit for us. It's also cheaper. We always book online to bring it down that little bit more....More

We didn't actually plan to come here at all. A very long walk from our hotel to Stanley park led us to discovering the zoo and we decided to pay a visit. Glad we did! There were no queues which is always a bonus and...More

It was a hot day, which may account for the lack of mobility of many animals. The zoo was packed with school visits, both older and younger children. There appeared to be a distinct lack of supervision of the older children, where their teachers or...More

I would say take your own food and have a good picnic as loads of green spaces to have it. the cafe is ok priced but the burger/hot dog stall is not at £4.50 each.

gate price is adult 17.99 child 13.99 but if you book online 13.99 adult 10.99 child ,also have family tickets that work out cheaper.
