In Penrith for three nights camping and chose to visit the Alhambra one evening. Despite the size (two screens) and approx 80 seats - you are able to book tickets online in advance via their website. Upon arrival the popcorn was cheap, the seats were large and comfy (pick the back row if you can as they are even bigger... More

Full of character, comfortable and charming, without hundreds of people talking, on their phones or munching on food.

If you like authentic art deco, this is the place to go. Friendly staff, unassuming entrance, cheap entry and toilets through the cinema out down stairs again - had delightful art deco mirror in the loo. We loved it here.

Great local cinema with just enough of an old school feel with great service and atmosphere. Love to go there with my kids.

I recently went to see the new movie Indipendace day Resurgence and wasn't disappointed in the levels of service from the staff at this wonderful gem of a local cinema. I've been to the Alhambra Cinema many-times since 2010 and even participated in signing a pattition to keep this charming old fashioned picture house alive when it was under threat... More

Been there a few times. I like it even though it is not modern. More reasonable than most and freindly. Only has 2 screens, so limited choice. Parking can be an issue before five. If you park before six make sure you display a parking disc available in local shops and that you don't go over the time limit. You... More

We were on our way back to the car in the rain when we came across this little independent cinema - what better way to shelter? £16 for 3 of us to watch Alice through the Looking Glass. Beat that Vue or Odeon! Sweeties/drinks cost the same as they do in the local shop. The screen we were in still... More
