Very small museum attached to the Tourist Information Office but full of some very interesting local artefacts and stories going back to Roman times.

I come here from time to time to catch up with new additions or to see things I missed on the last visit. This time i had with me a visitor from Australia. We loved coming here, such a lovely historical bubble in such a charming setting.

A small museum attached to the information office .Local artefacts but a display cabinet all about the ' Monocled Mutineer ' is of more general interest.

Interesting and with enough to keep you interested for an hour or so. There were a number of items from WW1 and a number of geological exhibits/

Free to visit. It is very small with a variety of artefacts. As well as the history of the area there is a section on the geology of the Eden valley.

A lovely little gem in central Penrith. We came across this by accident and the displays were great and there were plenty of activities for the kids, colouring, crafts etc. A great way to kill an hour or two. Far better than a trip to reghead!
