One room museum with good videos and colorful displays. Geared more for adults and there are no hands-on activities or things for kids to touch. Using the watercolors at the end was a plus.

I have fond memories of visiting here in the past, and duly sold my small daughter on the idea by telling her how much I had enjoyed it at her age. I wish I hadn't :-( Pay for parking next to the now derelict unhappy...More

Although the manufacturing part of this company had now moved to Workington, the site now houses a museum and a small café serving drinks and snacks. We spent a couple of hours there, coffee beforehand, a look around the museum and then a light lunch...More

Ummmm... I have about as much to say about this as there was in the museum. It is one room. It's saving grace was the quiz they provided, with complementarity pencils. The quiz kept us at the museum for 20 minutes instead of 5.

Interesting to find out about the making of pencils . Not a large museum but people on hand to answer questions which is nice always good to learn something new .

Last time we visited was in 2009 and as you might expect it has been changed around since then. I don't think it is so good now though, there is more open space and there doesn't seem to be so much to look at, we...More

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate all visitors comments. Unfortunately, after the floods we were unable to reinstate the museum as it was originally, we have however replaced all the artefacts and display's that were previously here back into a much brighter display gallery,...More

Quite expensive for what it is. Lots of information about pencils and a chance to draw but thats it unless you want to buy rather good pencils.

The museum was displayed very well with both pictures, and audio. Very interesting on how the pencils were used in the war to hide the tiny maps.
