Started the walk from Hawes end side. Took the walk in inclement weather which made the scramble areas over the rock a little slippery walking shoes or boots a must. We parked about 1/2 mile away from hawes end at the side of the road,...More

Manageable climb even with the dog! Well worth the effort with stunning views, we did the walk on a warm day which was a bonus.

Wow ! What a superb walk.. A shortish (can be extended) walk , but gives stunning views.. Usually very windy at the summit, and on the way up.. One of Wainwrights favourites.. If short for time, but want a 'proper' walk, try this..

Very enjoyable walk though you have to be very careful when climbing or descending due to the pathway being made up of uneven steps and in some places rock formations. Not at all suitable for pushchairs! Can get very busy on a clear day and...More

My wife and I have discovered a new hobby thanks to Catbells. We walked here from staying at Littletown Farm Guesthouse and fell in love with the whole walking in the countryside idea. If you’re thinking of going, and you definitely should, look at staying...More
