We went to visit the Pencil Museum on finding it closed (again) we looked for somewhere else close by to visit. We happened upon The Puzzling Place and were intrigued. The price is great less then £10 for all 3 of us. Once inside it was great, there was lots of different exhibitions to see, each one delighted our 4... More

A wonderful Little Place , though so much to do there. First you enter the shop which has lots of unusual and interesting items which also has an array of brain teasers and puzzling things to try to workout. This all takes sometime and it's free! Then if you wish you can pay approx £3 to enter the puzzling place... More

Well the wife was determined to visit, I had been away on business for a few months so obliged on a whim, Well the journey was a 200 mile round trip for one afternoon, the venue was ok, the venue was of course basic as was reflected in the entrance price, around 3 quid each, was told an hour would... Ive seen this place previously before we had the kids and always thought it wasn't worth a look. However I should have visited years ago a great place and the kids loved it definitely recommend and I would say I would return soon as my son wasn't well when we visited so couldn't appreciate it.

Heard about this place from a leaflet, and while in Keswick thought would take a look. It is definitely worth the £3.75 entry, and will keep you occupied with laughs for an hour or 2. Interesting illusions, although you may feel dizzy in the anti-gravity room, but great fun. We came in a quiet day in March but can see... More

This place is definitely different! Worth the £3.75 entry, it keeps you occupied for a good hour or so! The illusions are interesting, and it definitely gets everyone laughing - especially the exhibition rooms! Well worth the visit. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Fun place to visit if you have an hour or so too kill. Kept the kids puzzled. Be good to update and introduce new illusions/puzzles at some point though.

Really enjoyed this little place, fabulous illusions. Especially liked one of the rooms as it looked straight and 'normal' but it wasn't at all. It was on a slant and made you feel very odd! Would come again if I was ever near it

This place is small and unassuming, but the illusions are so plentiful and effective that it turns out to be an hour or so extremely well-spent. It's also great if it's raining, as the whole thing is indoors. If you're in Keswick, and you want to have some first-hand experience of how fallible your perception can be, this is the... More
