National trust properties are always great for a bit of history and this family home for over 750 yrs is no exception. Some lovely wood panelled rooms and a nice garden especially in summer !! Guides were unobtrusive but helpful.

Yes: photos are now allowed everywhere inside the House but not with flash. This includes the Inlaid Chamber where photography was formerly forbidden.
