The Beatrix Potter Gallery is well worth a visit. There are many original drawings and photographs on display and there was an exhibition on whilst I was there.

Loved seeing the original illustration alongside an old photo and then a recent photo. Kids l9ved the reading corner.

I wouldn't pay so much for it but as a member it was free. The gallery is located in Beatrix's husbands old office building which is interesting to see. There are a few displays but barely any of her artworks! The roofs are dangerously low...More

Enjoyed our visit to the gallery so much! The staff were friendly and there were a lot of exhibits to see. Definitely a must-do if you are in Hawkshead.
