Beautiful place, amazing views. Five hour round trip from cottage door in Coniston, has a mountain lake on the route and ends at a pub!

11 of us made it up the Old Man, with an average age of 68 we did it, but found it quite hard but we were very proud of ourselves. It was as challenging going up as coming down

This hill is harder to climb than expected. Walked from condition and it was a steady slog up which got very steep towards the summit

Hi David, I would say that the route is not suitable for a disabled buggy. It is quite a rough route and even an able bodied person is going to need to do a bit of scrambling to get up.
