I’ve wandered through this part of Hull on several occasions in the past without fully appreciating it. A couple of early morning walks around it on a very crisp December day on my latest visit gave me the ideal opportunity to rectify this omission. There...More

There are lots of parts of the city that have benefit from the year as City of Culture but in my opinion none more than the Marina. I have traveled extensively in Europe for many years and sitting on the Marina this summer in the...More

Based in a former dock it has some some interesting vessels including a historic sailing vessel and lightship (though not managed to find it open each time I visit). Some attractive yachts. Adjoins the up and coming Fruit Market which is worth a wander around...More

A great place to wander and now includes so many rather smart restaurants too! It was lovely today in the sunshine and it has a very cosmopolitan feel so close to the town centre.

We often walk our dog around here, sometimes it's bustling other rimes you can hear the clinking of the sails on the boats. There are a range of bars and restaraunts but also plenty of history and monuments to find whilst exploring the area.
