Amazing local pub with a great vibe

Had many a great evening here... Delectable selection of craft beer, Otis reading playing on the record player and friendly wonderful staff! If you're in Ramsgate, you must go!

My first 'welcome' at the Queen Charlotte. Tonight I stood at an empty bar for 5 minutes. I called out 'hello' and still no response. In the end, a local apologised and went into the back room. The bar maid came out and said (obviously annoyed that she had to do some work), 'apparently someone is shouting'. I explained that... More

Hi there, we're really sorry that that was your first welcome to our genuinely friendly pub. The bar maid in question has asked me to apologise to you, we want everyone to feel super welcome and here's hoping that you'll give us another go. More

A little gem of a place. Good real ales, and nice people - good mix of regulars and changing faces. Look out for the knitting club, John, the 80-year-old DJ, and music and club nights. Also excellent for Sunday lunch.

A pub playing late 50s music. Loads of beers on tap. A real fire and friendly people. Had a really nice time here.

Discovered this gem of a pub on a yacht delivery passage. From the welcome and service, to the choice and condition of the real ales, the interesting, friendly locals and the fabulous tapas menu, this place is simply a joy. Food is made freshly to order by the lovely Yasoda Corleone who runs qckitchen.co.uk in the upstairs kitchen. All the... More

It's my local and it varies between knitting night and a proper jam with skip playing some proper funky live music. Either wY a good range of beer and a good honest boozer!

i wish i lived near here, i would happily spend an hour in the Charlotte every eve, eclectic mix of people and drinks. nice helpful bar staff and really old music that was new to my (almost) middle aged ears. easy to slag off if you are classless or boring.., i loved it.

Small pub only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Opens at 5.30pm. Very friendly staff. Great mix of eclectic and unusual music. Gets a lovely crowd in and they also serve the most amazing Caribbean food. You will love the place if you want to have a great night out but I suggest you arrive by 9pm to get... More

The Queen Charlotte welcomes you with a knitted lamp-post outside; upon entering, you are greeted with a convivial, alternative, pub, with a great range of local ales, home-cooked Jamaican food, eclectic conversation (fracking looms large!), friendly locals, and cheap pistachios! I visited twice during my trip to Ramsgate; once with a friend, and once on my own. I was not... More
