A haven!

Friendly, supportive volunteer staff! Peaceful, calm atmosphere! A retreat, yet interesting historically, and central to Ramsgate harbour!

Popped in to have a look as we ran past. Nice Church but not many services. Used for the Smack Boys in olden times!

Quiet and small church. You may have a glance of sailors' living through the displays that exhibit in the church.

Lovely little church based right in the harbour of Ramsgate. Lovely singing on a cold winters day. Carol service on day visited.

I have never been in this venue and this time I made sure I did and it was a hidden gem of local history of the town and the people of the port - very calming

Stepped into the ground floor of this building (sea scouts above and Smack Boys hostel next door - fishing smack). Interesting, peaceful. You can see the desire of the local priest to educate as well as sooth the spirit of the local sailors. Very interesting slice of history. Worth also following up the Little Ships.

The Sailors Church. Military Rd is situated next to Jacobs ladder. A true part of the harbour community. I went to a funeral here a few years ago and found the experience moving. Well worth a visit.

Interest juxtaposition with all the modern cafes and artisan areas that have been converted near boy, I was always intrigued by the home for smack boys. It looks somber and foreboding. The church is beautiful visit before it becomes a Macdonalds or Costa I am sure that's on the way.

He is included on the memorial to S.T. Campanula.(Christine Thompson, a Norwegian, naturalised). Campanula is believed to have trawled up a mine in 1920 killing all aboard. The irony is that Christian served on the Western Front in WW1 and apart from minor wounds came through that bloodbath. I never knew him, only by research. The Sailors Church is a... More

We visited this church to view the history of this church and the connection to the Smack Boys and the home next to this church. You really need to visit the church and the home to understand the history about these two buildings from the past . The church is lovely inside and well preserved as is the home that... More
