We did this trip with two grandparents, two parents, two teenagers and two smaller kids as a morning trip and we all loved it. The boat ride itself was exciting, the crew lovely, we had a great look at the seals and learnt a bit about the area. It was a warm day but I was grateful for the fleece outside the harbour.

I went out on a beautiful summers day. The crew were polite and very knowledgeable. Seeing the seals was quite amazing and I would definitely say that you need to take a camera along. The views are stunning too. Wrap up warmly because it can get quite cold out at sea but you will not regret making this trip.

The Horizon Sea Safari's are based in Ramsgate around the Royal harbour. Horizon sea safari's run a seal watching trip in the river Stour. Myself and my daughter recently decided to go and venture onto their boat! My daughter only 8 had never been on a boat so I was a little cautious! A good camera is a must as you get a great View of the seals and also some fantastic sea birds! Its a great length trip not too long so the kids get bored and certainly not too short! All round a lovely Visit, fun (the boats are good fun) and educational with lots of great information about the Seals! A really enjoyable trip well worth its money!

Took my wife and 2 kids (10 and 12) on a seal watching trip and wow, the boat ride itself was well worth the trip and then watching the local seal colony topped it off, we were all amazed how close we got to the seals. The people on the boat obviously knew their stuff when talking about the wildlife and local history. I would recommend taking a camera for the seals and maybe a light jacket if the weather isn't blazing hot. I've already booked our next trip!!!!!!!!
