Walked the dogs on the stoney beach, the area was clean with lots of seating. There was a sign up saying no swimming though, which was a shame.

The Dover beachside has always been a calming place for us as a couple, where we come to think, talk things through or simply wanting to leave the house for a few minutes. It's no wonder we see families, siblings, couples, friends, workmates meet and have their meals at the beach benches.

Have rated our beach as very good because it is clean and well laid out. It has beach side huts for refreshments , drinks and hot snacks as well as for fresh sea food. The only prob is that its stones and not sand , but if you dont mind stones , its worth a visit. Gets quite crowded in... More

Lovely pebbled beach, 4 cafes and 2 restaurants on seafront. Has 2 piers however one is being developed and the other is described as for fishing off. Lovely views of castle from beach. Beach has design of waves on promenade. Across the road from beach behind white houses is a shopping arcade with older generation clothes shoe wear, and some... More

It isn't stone beach, and you can park the car right along the beach which is pay and display. There are the usual cafes which sell ice creams too. However you can also watch the ferries sailing in and out of the harbour.

Dover Waterfront is well known and certainly for Channel Swimming. Although, Channel Swimming is not started from Dover Beach but just a short way away, normally Shakespeare Beach, next door. Dover Beach is very pleasant, given the climate but unfortunately lacks sand! There is a little but that has been made inaccessible by The Harbour Board whilst their Big Improvements... More

It was a March day with some sunshine so we were able to sit reasonably warm. Its a good place for people watching but as usual spoilt in place by the homeless with there cans of beer. From here you can watch the ferries going into and out of the Ferry Port. There are a lot of gulls around and... More

Flat promenade, easy stroll along seafront, have a look at the clock tower at far end from the ferry end, also look out for the granite like blocks for the channel swimmers.

While there is not much to do or to see here, it is still a tourist stop. It is also the ferry point for crossing over to Calais France. Stop to snap a few pictures of the famous white cliffs, Dover Castle on the hill and the beach itself. It's a pretty place in the areas around the beach. A... More
