A great park, walk, cycle, play, there is space for everything and safe and clean. There are some outstanding views and walks and you can always find yourself a quiet spot for a picnic. The walk onto fort Amherst has amazing views, and if need a good exercise walk down to the cafe and then back up the hill. Cycling... More

Absolutely lovely, great cast open space to walk and enjoy Blows away the cobwebs on a windy fresh day :) A great walk for anyone With bench seats here and there to take a rest and enjoy the view. Great open space for local people to picnic and walk!

Great to be among huge green lung overlooking the River Medway, Chatham and Rochester. Recently had walking links open up to connect with Fort Amhurst so can either walk down from the Heritage Park to the fort or vice versa.

This is a vast area of grass and history that sits high above the manic town of Chatham. It was where Chatham football club played and many other clubs played their F.A. Cup ties in the 1880's on pitches marked out on "The Lines". Nowadays the area can be windy and is popular with dog-walkers and walkers with no dogs... More

..... unless you know Chatham its quite difficult to get a feel of this place, as a recreation ground its quite bland but as a place of history, I cant give it enough stars great place for exploration especially if you get down to the lower lines, lots of little nooks and crannies of places.

A lovely green open space to have a walk and escape the busy, urban lifestyle in Chatham town centre or other Medway towns. Fairly easy access points from Chatham and Gillingham/Brompton. However, LED lighting should be installed to improve visibility if you go there during the night and further installation of bins and benches.

I believe the great lines to be a fantastic place to walk the dog. I have heard some people complaining about the amount of drugs and youngsters hanging around in the evening. Although I do believe this to off calmed down; I would only walk my dog during the day along the great lines. I would suggest getting some lighting... More
