Description:

Travel with "Chaucer" and his band of pilgrims from the Tabard...

Travel with "Chaucer" and his band of pilgrims from the Tabard Inn in London to Canterbury Cathedral. Our costumed characters will introduce you to what is arguably the most famous collection of tales written in Medieval Britain. The handheld audio guide will then lead you through our stunning recreation of medieval England and lead you into five of Chaucer's most loved tales. These are tales of unrequited love, attempts at cheating death, bawdy infidelity and the chance to discover what every woman wants. . .Still as engaging for today's audiences as they were 600 years ago.

Laugh with us and learn with us! The Canterbury Tales visitor attraction is the only attraction in the UK dedicated to this famous piece of English literature and is an essential addition to any Canterbury itinerary.

Foreign language audio guides are available, as is a children's version (toning down the rather bawdy nature of the tales). This is also recommended for guests learning English. Under 5s are admitted free of charge but please be advised that children of a nervous disposition may find the low lighting and realistic models a little intimidating.

You cannot visit Canterbury and not head to the Canterbury attraction. Its a bit fun you are taken on a tour and you become a part of the pilgramage. You are told all the tales. They have speaking hansets for everyone so it can be enjoyed by everyone no matter the language they speak. The people that took our tour... More

Expensive, tight quarters, view a few repetitious tales as acted out by Animatronics. Over emphasis on the bawdy aspects of the tales; not suitable for children.

My senior in high school was reading The Canterbury Tales in class so we went on this fun tour. It told a few of the brief stories from the book along with a scene of the characters. It reminded me a little bit of Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney. We all loved it.

Had some time to pass while waiting for my car to be repaired in Canterbury so thought we would visit this attraction. When you go they give you a time as they only allow small groups in at a time (we only had to wait 10 minutes). The visit lasts around 45 minutes and is very entertaining. There are a... More

I ventured into this venue as I had noting better to do but I was very pleased that I did. A very interesting and amusing tour though Canterbury history with a number of narrators.

Timed entry. If you know the tales then don't bother since you will just be told five of them again (via an audioguide) with a little bit of visual input and a couple of live actors. Expensive. Underwhelming.
