Well tended garden adjacent to Westgate Tower, slightly marred by heavy traffic, but a short walk into the garden leads to tranquil spots. Sit and view the Oxbridge like punts- take a trip, why not? Nice flowers the year round.

Lovely to sit by the river and watch the world drift by. An oasis of calm but a mere two minute walk from the busy main street

Start your Canterbury tour here and keep left until you reach the Norman Castle. Beautiful flowers, peaceful riverside and amazing ruins. Continue the walk on the City Wall.

Well laid out, great to see magnolias in full blossom. Shame the the area is an attraction for groups who spend their day drinking alcohol, can be intimidating at times

A little oasis of calm - although Canterbury isn't exactly an overwhelming metropolis, but the gardens were a great place to sit for 5 minutes and stand up an hour later.

Hi, Dogs are allowed, there is a council pay and display at both ends and there are a few cafes relatively close by in the town centre.
