Made our way to the site only to be met by the sign "closed due to to falling masonry" would have ben nice (and polite) to have been informed of this prior to our visit.

It is a ruin, nothing more. When I was there there were some fences around it. The walls that you see in the photo is all that is there. So you can walk around it and that's it. The town wall is more impressive then...More

This is CURRENTLY closed as the structure is in a dangerous state due to falling masonry. There isn't a lot to see as far as I could ascertain as it appears to be a ruin. Unable to say any more about it at this stage...More

Parked up nearby for a wander but found this fenced off as it's now crumbling and sign said it's dangerous. Such a shame as the council should keep this preserved

This is a waste of time, don't bother. Its just ruins and nothing to see.But a nice reminder that it was an old city.

Bare walls of a small but imposing Norman keep, adjacent to busy roundabout in one direction, Westgate gardens and monastic remains in another. Of interest because of construction, similar to Rochester castle on a much smaller scale. Dusty and hot in the summer.
