Dont get me wrong, this is a tiny castle and will take you all of 5 minutes to walk round but it's free and the children love visiting.

Good historical information, but mostly in ruins. A small quiet park with the castle with informative planks. It can be a nice place to walk through but should not be the center of your visit

Was interesting but not much to it. Only took about 10 minutes to go through. I would skip it unless you have nothing else to do.

It was a freezing day but worth the walk along the city walks with a view of the Dane John Gardens. The ruins are amongst the most ancient in the UK dating back to the time of William the Conqueror around 1070. Worth a visit, won't take a long time.

The ruins of Canterbury Castle are definitely worth a short visit. There is not a lot to see, but the information boards on the property make it an interesting and worthwhile visit.

When did you last view a castle for free? It doesn't happen often. This is a simple site with good descriptions on site boards and a nice visit for 15 to 20 minutes. Thanks Canterbury.

We stopped here after visiting the cathedral. It was a cold day but we still enjoyed walking around the ruins. It doesn't take long to visit though!

As part of your exploration of Canterbury's history the Castle is worth including. The site is free to visit and you can allow 10 mins or so to dd to your walk of the city walls. No facilities. Some interpretation boards help explain the history.
