We had a lovely afternoon at Shaw's Corner starting with a picnic in the garden. We then had a 15 minute talk from one of the volunteers which told us the basics about George Bernard Shaw's life before going into the house. The house is...More

The house is unpretentious but it has so many little reminders of George Bernard Shaw's life and work. There are also many fascinating photos and documents on display . The gardens are beautiful in May and June, and you can just imagine him writing, or...More

This is a National Trust property. The house a really interesting example of Victorian/Edwardian life. Really interesting generally but particularly if you are in to Pygmalion or other works by GBS. Particularly good evening watching one of his plays in the garden, at least if...More

Lovely place, atmospheric house showing the life of Shaw. Loved the summer house in the garden which had a bed in it!

The tour guides were knowledgeable and made the visit worthwhile. It may be a little out of the way but has parking and signposts but access to upstairs could be difficult for those with walking issues.

The writer Bernard Shaw lived and worked here from 1906 until he died in 1955. The building, whose exterior looks quite undistinguished, was built in 1902. I did not have time to go inside the building, but instead took a quick look at its superbly...More

You really need navigation to get there. It is complicated with lots of narrow back and side roads.
