We were travelling across to the Isle of Wight and missed our ferry by 5mins. So turned into the Town Quay pier and pulled into an empty car park as it was late at night watching the other boats leave the harbour and the twinkly lights of Southampton. Got the next ferry an hour or so later. 2 weeks later... More

Town Quay is a good spot to watch the ships go by providing your don't mind paying the parking fees and stay out of the buildings which have become desolate and eerie over the years. Mayflower Park is almost adjacent and is probably a better spot these days.

Town Quay has an almost desolate feel to it, other than Red Funnel ferry terminal, there is really very little here. The terminal itself is tired and dirty looking with overpriced, not great quality refreshments. Other than the ferry, I can't see any reason to be here. Watch out for overpriced, heavily policed parking.

Been fishing here they are a bit funny about it but usually don't tell anyone to go, you don't catch that much , but there's always water here no matter what the tides up to, the car park is notorious for people getting fined!

A really nice place to stroll around, great views over the Solent and to the mainland, lots of boats to look at, so colourful. Nice town with great bs routes to and from it.

Caught the boat here if I'm thinking right. Nice place from the looks of it. Will maybe come the night before next time.

Looking for a change of venue for a meal out midweek we went to Southampton and parked at Town Quay arriving at 19.57. Loads of free spaces in the car park and we parked up near to the terminal and found our way to a lovely Restaurant with a total spend of £180.00 for a table of 4. Sadly today... More

During a trip to Southampton we went to Town Quay and thought it looked a rough area with boarded up buildings and a lot of rubbish on the ground. Overall this is not the nicest area of Southampton and I wouldn't bother to visit, there are plenty of better areas to spend your time.

I see this place has not improved with age. It's drab and not worth a visit. Parking eye operate it for the council. Don't stay longer then 10 minutes or you will be £60 out of pocket. Beware
