When you are in Southampton, this church is well worth a visit, unfortunately the day we were there, it seemed to be closed, so we couldn't go inside, but still worth a look at the outside.

Beautiful and interesting stained glass windows. The church has many pianos you might be lucky and hear one being played on your visit. The organ was being played beautifully on our visit.

Oldest remaining complete church within the old city walls dating to soon after the Norman Conquest, with interesing monuments and one of a few early Tournai black marble fonts to be found in England (others at Lincoln Minster, St Marybourne and Winchester Cathedral)

St Michael's Church is still standing and complete even after World War Two. It is just at the rear of High Street and worth a visit.
