My husband and I decided to go into town, as time was getting on we decided to use the ferry. This was due to the terrible road works going on in the city, traffic jams caused by this and finding a car parking space. We...More

This is an excellent service between Hythe and Southampton taking off many miles if going by car and roadworks. If any cruise ships are in you get a really birds eye view of them as well

We spent one full sunny day in lovelly Hythe. Instead of the car we enjoyed the nice and comfortable Hythe ferry service and the related old train pier. It was funny and kids loved it so much. Good to keep it working.

quirky old railway to the end of the pier, with a short 15 min hop across to the old quay t Southampton. Saves taking car into town and very useful for the boat show. a little gem
