This was our first visit to this historic theatre, we had been warned about parking but didn't find it a problem, as we found a space in Victoria road south, on our way to the recommended parking area in Waitrose. The theatre is tastefully decorated in Victorian style, the facilities were adequate, bar comfortable as were our seats, staff were... More

I have been coming to this theatre for the best part of 40 years and have seen its improvements take place through many of them. I'm not sure the review below is meant for this venue re - poor toilet facilities and bar staff. The toilets have had a wonderful restoration done and I found staff at the bar very... More

A lovely little theatre decorated in the Victorian style and with good facilities. The atmosphere is excellent and you get a good view of the stage all round but the upper circle is best. Seats are old and tightly packed but that is a function of age and comparable with many if the London theatres.

The score I am giving is for the theatre itself and not the show I went to see. The cirque de glace show was amazing and would score full marks. The theatre itself looks good when you walk in but the seats are very uncomfortable with hardly any leg room. The toilet facilities are terrible and it doesn't matter if... More

Just how theatres should be. A great venue that is run and staffed by passionate people. A great purpose built theatre dating back to the 'good old days' that is doing it's very best to provide high quality entertainment. smaller than most venues restricts it slightly from A list stars that fill arenas, however in recent years the number of... Well what a feather in the cap of the King's Theatre. Near to full capacity for this beautifully performed opera. Showing great enterprize of late and needs to build on this success with some big names. Maybe present the Oscars from the King's? Decor and toilets need some TLC, but I believe there is a programme of refurbishment afoot. Well... More

It was my first time to see an opera and I really enjoyed it. The theatre was very authentic and restored well so the atmosphere was there and a good start. The seats were nearly all full so that bide well. This opera had a full orchestra whish sounded amazing. The actors/singers were faultless and extremely powerful. I didn't know... More

Had booked on-line to see this show specifically as my son had a part in the production. Sat in the dress circle with good view of stage, bar unfortunately served drinks in plastic cups. All in all a great experience in a very well preserved theatre with good facilities,

Hi Martin, Thank you for your kind comments about the theatre and the show. We serve in plastic cups to avoid any breakages in the auditorium as this can be dangerous to patrons as well as staff members. Kind regards, Alan More

Saw Rule the World (Take That tribute band) super seats in the front row (masses of legroom and room to dance too) Seat comfortable enough but quite low, the building interior is very impressive and the views from other areas also seemed good. Toilets tiny - as if they had been squeezed into a cupboard,

Lovely old theatre but really needs some restoration work on it. Toilets very dated and not enough for the amount of visitors. Overall it is what it is and doesn't stop me seeing show which are on and of interest to us.
