The Mary Rose Museum is home to the Mary Rose and the thousands of artefacts that were recovered from the Solent. Built between 1509 and 1511, The Mary Rose was one of the first ships able to fire a broadside, and was a firm favourite of King Henry VIII. After a long and successful career, she sank accidentally during an engagement with the French fleet in 1545. Her rediscovery and raising were seminal events in the history of nautical archaeology. After a 34 year conservation project, the Mary Rose is now fully on display within her purpose-built museum.

There are not sufficient words in the English language to describe just how good this is. The ship actually comes second best to the display of artifacts recovered. You can easily spend all day here. My wife gave it 10/5. Without doubt the best museum that we have ever visited in the UK, if not Europe.

Visited here with family and told this would be best for the kids. It was very well laid out and it held the kids interest. It was nice learning about the history of the ship and there are many interactive things for all ages. Price was a little high though.

Considerable thought has been put into creating a superb visitor experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, the artifacts very well displayed and with the background sounds of the sea and creaking timber you can almost think that you were on board a Tudor vessel. My 85yo Mum loved it!.

Food was fine. Coffee very good. Staff very helpful. But don't go too late on a busy afternoon as choices will be more limited By the way, there's a fantastic museum attached

This is now the most amazing exhibit for miles . Scientifically and artisically presented in an elegant and informative way. Fascinating stories brought to life and the ship breathtaking in its size and presentation.

Go here or miss it, if you are over 40 and you watched the raising of this ship and not been here yet all the more reason to, you are not going to believe it possible.

Well worth a visit. Now that the Mary Rose is displayed in all her Glory and the decks are back on she is looking great. The whole experience really brings the ship to life. To be honest my 7 year old Son and his mate were not that impressed!!! Definitely worth a look
