This valley is perfect for all sorts of activities - for kids, a walk in the woods, a zip wire, then the mansion house to explore. For dogwalkers this is a perfect place to walk down to the lake, picnic by the boathouse, and even...More

We enjoyed a guided tour of this half-completed Victorian Mansion. It's unique in that the builders simply downed tools and left site one day after the prospective owner passed away. You get to see in detail Victorian building techniques as the whole place is half...More

We recently visited Woodchester park with our dog, it's a lovely location with various trails to follow from easy to challenging. Your dog can be off the lead as long as you can control it, but must be on the lead when near livestock.

Lovely family walks. Well maintained tracks. Some very muddy parts. Springs close to the paths. The longest route (purple) includes some long steep slopes. There are some junctions missing signage which is a shame. We didn't realise the mansion and tea rooms would be shut...More

The bluebells were out in force and the birds were singing. We had a lovely walk round this well marked trail. We took the purple route which took us through the woods. It was a bit uppy in places but we all managed. Good views...More

Choice of 3 marked trails of different lengths in and around a beautiful wooded valley with lakes at the bottom. Went at lambing time and the Jacobs sheep lambs bleating in the spring sunshine was a great accompaniment to the bird song in the woods....More
