My husband and brother and sister-in-law hike together frequently and aimed this year for the Cotswolds. We chose a guided walker the 4 of us with Hikes and Bikes and recommend them highly. The owners were very attentive, the guide was good, the restaurants for...More

We hiked from Chipping Campden to Bath - lots of ups, gentler downs, unbelievable scenery, beautiful vistas, through farms, small towns, grazing areas. We wouldn't change a thing except to suggest doing it in 8 days and not 7 as we did. HIKES AND BIKES...More

Six of us did the Cotswolds Ring at the end of May 2017. All three couples agreed that it was a memorable trip, the walking was very doable for us all, we loved all the villages we stayed in and marveled at the beautiful countryside...More

Decided in January to set off and walk the Cotswold Way with 4 friends. We take two cars, leave one at the days finish and one at the days start. We walk about 10miles each time. The walk has been extremely well signposted and well...More

Congratulations on finishing the walk and good to hear that you would recommend it to other walkers. I will pass on your feedback on the path to our volunteers who help maintain it. There are lots of other long-distance paths in the Cotswolds to explore...More

A very varied and interesting long distance walk. The views of the Severn valley are great and the variety works well. We did it over several weekends and enjoyed the different aspects of the walk.

Wow what a beautiful walk this was. The scenery was so much better than I had expected. I hadn't realised that we would be walking on hills much of the time with lovely views. It was hillier than expected and so be prepared for some...More

We both thoroughly enjoyed our Cotswold Way walk. Although in hindsight we should have gone for 12 days of walking to reduce the extra amount of walking time, should have listened to Malcolm!! The 4 days of walking 20+ kilometres was just a bridge too...More

We are so privileged to live in this beautiful county of Gloucestershire. Nothing fails to amaze me, the beauty of rolling hills, and trails like this. Open spaces and lush green grass in abundance! Great for all ages and abilities, most accessible to wheelchair users....More

We have just completed the first half of the Cotswold Way between Chipping Camden and Painswick. It is a gorgeous route - varying between stunning views from the escarpment, delightful woodland (bluebells in full bloom were an added bonus) and a few Cotswold villages. There...More

I am glad you enjoyed the Trail. You picked a great time of year with the bluebells in flower. It is good advice to take provisions with you, as it's surprising how remote some of the Trail is. I hope you enjoy the second half...More

You can get the train to Bath Spa station and then walk the Cotswold Way from south to north. This means you get the prevailing wind behind you. At the north end, there is no station in Chipping Campden, but you can get the... More

My husband and I walked 200 miles on the Camino de Santiago in Spain and stayed in hostels along the way. We did not book reservations in advance because we did not want to feel pressure to be at the certain place or we could stay longer if we liked it the area. Do you recommend making reservations at BB's on this trail? Most guidebooks say to do this even when we walked in Spain, but we had no trouble finding a place. We also noticed that some places require a 2 nite minimum. Was this a problem? We are walking in June and stay for 3 weeks. We know that it will not take this long to walk but wanted to enjoy our time before, after, and along the way.
