In this area of Hastings there is loads to see and loads to do. From using up your spare pennies in the attractions to allowing the kiddies to go on a ride, drive a go kart, use a trampoline, pedalo on a small lake, crazy golf and a wonderful pirate and boat themed playground. The boatyard is in regular use... More

I was at the Stade for the Hastings Seafood and Jazz Festival and they did an excellent job of managing the crowds and providing food and drink. Aside form events, the cafe also is very good if you are down checking out Old Town...

Lovely area to stroll around, soaking up the atmosphere. A mixture of restaurants, fish stalls and historic buildings. There are plenty of information boards explaining the history of the area and the buildings. Recommend the fresh fish rolls from one of the stalls.

Nice area for tourists. Clean, plenty of places to eat or drink, nice walkways and shops, some historic huts and museums. Attractions for children and of course lots of fresh seafood to enjoy.

From the tall black fishermen huts, to the fish stalls that sell all manner of items, the Stade is something you cannot miss. Wondering around the huts selling fish caught on the beach is a real step back in time. Lots of things to see and do here.

We live in Hastings and visit the stade and the beach regularly. I'm always disgusted by the amount of mess just left on the beach by the fishermen. I know it's a normal for things to be washed up on the beach but take some pride in the fact that people come to Hastings to walk along the beach and... More

What an excellent event with a great selection of well known artists offering their works. A great atmosphere what with a performance stage and amongst others the provocative and very talented Martin Creed and his band performing, it was brilliant. Great eclectic crowd who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Well done Jerwood Gallery and The Stade in organising this event. The day... More

The Stade area contains lot of interesting things to see like the huts where the fishing nets are hung up or the fishing boats themselves sitting elegantly on the stone beach. It's well worth a look around whilst you're in the Old Town.
