Beautiful little cliff railway that really elevates you! Great views at the top from a Nature Reserve which connects to coastal paths. Perfect for a little adventure.

It is great fun going on a cliff railway and watching as you ascend/ descend. A great victorian adventure. I am slowly working my way round the cliff railways of England, and it was great we could take my grand children and play at the...More

Make sure you have a ride on the historic Cliff railway. You can walk up and down, but what’s the point. This is a great British historic tradition and must be supported. Suggest you ask for a return ticket, same price. At top visit the...More

We parked in the Pelham Place Car Park and headed towards town. Our first stop was at the East Hill Cliff Railway. Although a quick trip to the top, the views offered were definitely worth the fare and unique opportunity to ride in a vintage...More

Lovely example of a cliff railway in great condition. I know that it’s easy enough to walk up and down but that’s not the point. There’s not many of these railways left and it’s just got to be done, they are a British tradition that...More

A short sweet climb to the top of the East hill. Saves you walking up a lot of steps and ride a quirky funicular railway at the same time. A great way to enjoy the views of Hastings sea front.

Definitely dogs allowed, as long as they are on a lead and behave well. Also up in the country park they are allowed but obviously you have to pick up poo if they do doo doo.

I have visited Hastings a few times, previously by car and more recently by rail on a day out from London. There appeared to be plenty of parking even on the August bank holiday so you could bring your car but I wonder why... More

Hello, Once you leave the West Hill Upper Station there is about 400 yards walk on wide, well-maintained paths. I am 72 years old with walking difficulties and I found it to be quite a relaxed walk. Drehort
