Lovely little aquarium, lots of different fish and some reptiles too.
I think it’s a bit pricey for what it is but we had a lovely time.

Really nice aquarium with many different types of sealife. We enjoy visiting it so much that we bought an annual pass.

There's lots of information about the different fish so it can be very educational for both young and not so young as well as quite relaxing looking at them. Aside from the fish and invertebrates they have snakes, lizards and various amphibians and reptiles.

Personally I would try and go outside the school holidays as Hastings gets very busy especially during the summer break.

Well worth a visit.

Lovely place to visit. You can take as long as you like to wander around. The fish are amazing. Especially the part where you walk through and the fish are swimming above you

Myself, my partner and 4 year old visited this aquarium on 19th November on our way home from our holiday in Camber Sands. As suggested on other reviews it is only a small aquarium, if your used to places like Sealife centre you may feel a little disappointed. The tickets are quite pricey costing us around £35 for the 3 of us but luckily we used Clubcard vouchers for our entry.

The aquarium itself is lovely and clean and has great information on all the different species in the tanks and 99% of the tanks were inhabited (sometimes at other aquariums there can be lots of empty tanks)
My daughter loved looking at all the unusual fish and we were pleased to see a “Reptile room” within the aquarium which hosted some great animals! (Snakes, spiders, frogs and more)
There’s a lovely ocean tunnel where you can see the sharks swimming over you and there are multiple times during the day where they feed/ have talks about the different animals.

Overall it’s a nice way to spend an hour, you can spend as much or as little time as you wish (I believe we were told our tickets lasted all day so we could come and go as we pleased) and if you go in with the knowledge that it is only a small aquarium you won’t be disappointed.

Well worth a visit here, if you're visiting the area. There was lots to see and learn, which was applicable to two autistic people such as us who were attending. There was always a staff member nearby to ask questions, or to learn something from. The shop was stocked, lots of mementoes to choose from, and the gentleman who served us was kind, and very friendly.

Lots of information about all the fish. Very well presented and one has a good view of the fish but still allowing them space. Very good for children. Our Grandson asks for a visit every time he stays.

Just got home from our visit having had a great time. We took our 2 year old grandson and he was absolutely mesmerised. He was totally captivated by the sharks, octopus and turtle. It was worth the entry fee just to see his face. Great for adults to.

Worth a visit but not a cheap activity, 3 of us were seniors but it was only a £1 discount £11.50 and £12.50 for my sister.

It is very small and doesn’t take long to go round, never saw the octopus must have been in hiding!

I know there is the upkeep for all the fish etc, but they really need to review their prices, and give a good discount for seniors. Gift shop was way too expensive so did t buy anything from there.

Hi Vampirebite, Thanks very much for the review - glad you enjoyed your experience with us overall. Aquariums are not traditionally cheap attractions - and you'd need to worry about the welfare of the animals living in a cheap aquarium! We're actually one of the most competitively priced aquariums in the UK and have been for almost a decade. Huxley the octopus can be very elusive. Ask one of the team to point him out next time you're down. Best wishes,

Enjoyable aquarium with some nice displays. It is only small though and doesn't take that long to go round, so could work out quite expensive for families.

Hi Kelly, Thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your visit with us. Unlike many other zoos and aquariums, our tickets are valid all day so you can and go and watch all the talks and feeds we have to offer throughout the day. You'd need to worry about the welfare of the animals with a 'cheap' aquarium or zoo! Hope to see you again soon.
