A great place to visit and free. Excellent information about Brighton and also Egyptology. Well worth a break from the shops to go and see.

An interesting exhibition with quite a unique viewpoint on life in Brighton - lots of old photographs, testimonies from locals you can listen to - a big focus on celebrations, festivals and carnivals.

Lovely, classy museum with quite a variety of displays - and not so large that you lose heart about trying to see everything. I particularly liked the various furniture styles through the decades. Definitely a place to enjoy away from the congestion of the shopping...More

It is such a good little museum; full of interest both local and farther afield. The cafe is good value and lovely staff. Much more interesting than the shopping streets!!!

Ragamala paintings from India were great. Etchings by Goff also. Permanent Egyptian gallery really good and informative, for adults and children.
