We visited the iconic Brighton Beach boardwalk - lots of things to keep one occupied including interesting and quirky shops, cafes, carousel, art galleries, the fishing museum and the beach itself.

Brighton beach is a pebble beach located within easy reach of a of local hotels and the town centre. There is lots of space even on very sunny days. I opted for an early morning run along the sea front to blow away the cobwebs.

Brighton beach is NOT sandy, it's a pebble beach, but if you're not disappointed by that fact you're going to have a great day! Cafes and small businesses on the boardwalk are a pleasant distraction from sunbathing, from galleries supporting local artists to the fishing museum...More

No, only at very low tide, which is a rare occurrence. The beach is very stony and it is advised to wear beach shoes if you plan to go for a swim as the walk to the sea along the beach can be quite painful!
