We biked the Cuckoo trail starting from Polegate so that it was downhill coming back. I don't recommend doing this ride when the trees are in leaf. It's quite pleasant but you hardly see any views. And don't use the car park at The Centre...More

If the weather is right, this is a lovely day out. For an easier ride take the trail from Heathfield and you can go 20 miles all the way to Eastbourne Seafront. For a harder route go in the opposite direction.

We cycled the cuckoo trail from Polegate. It's clearly signposted and we'll kept. Will visit again with the children next time

We are new to the area and were delighted to discover this lovely trail. Loads of wild flowers, safe to walk or cycle on - although if walking you do have to watch out for the odd bike without a warning bell. Great to walk...More
