I would never move anywhere else in the world! These beaches are so lovely, clean, and not stoney like some beaches. When the summer arrives it's always packed down here. We love to go down for picnics and evening BBQ's, even the occasional fish and...More

I love Bournemouth beach. It's clean & tidy. Lots to do & see. I love seeing how many people use the beach for so many different activities, cycling (like me), running, open swimming, dog walking, family fun & BBQ's Love it

So proud of our town. Such a lovely place to be. Beach cleaned regularly by council... if only people could take responsibility for their own rubbish though. Anyway, always love our visit with always things to do x

It is a nice beach not too crowded, and there are carparks, restaurants and entertainment for children near and around the promenade

It's a very long sandy beach with the water is clean, the pier is long , there is the ferry wheel and you can walk either of side of the beach till you legs can carry. It's undoubtedly one of the best beaches in UK...More

Clean, loads of facilities (loos, food, deckchairs) but also huge areas of emptiness where you can seat peacefully undisturbed.

Yes you can come with a dog. But from 1st June to the end of September dogs are not allowed of most of the sand area of beach but you can walk with your dog on a lead on the promenade. From 1st October to the end of May... More
Why is there so much sand on the beach between Fisherman's Walk and just beyond Gordon's Zig Zag? The stones are sharp, piled up and painful - where have they come from? Two steps off the beach I am up to my neck in water - no shallows at all at any time of day. Last year I was able to body board, children played on the flat sand, now it is treacherous for young children. I understand replenishment but if this height is necessary, why is it not the same at Bournemouth? This is the widest stretch of beach ane yet seemingly Bournemouth Pier is where people need more sand!
