Stayed here with my partner must say was really looking forward to it however felt it didn't live up to the expectation I had in mind. Car park is extremely expensive so decided to leave my car elsewhere, check in straight forward receptionist seemed nice enough, room was ok a little on the small side however it did have a... More

The photos here are not of the spa. The spa is a lovely relaxing place with magnificent sea views. Has lovely Edwardian railings and subtle classical music playing. The tiling, paintwork and lockers could do with some attention but the place has great ambience.

Booked a one night stay on Groupon, the promotional photos and video looked good but in reality it wasn't quite what we expected. The location and views over the seafront were great and I'm sure in its day the hotel had been very upmarket, now it looks a bit jaded and the service wasn't brilliant. To start with there is... I booked us a room on booking.com which said 'Double room' I paid £150 for one night with breakfast for the two of us. Check in queue was stupidly long but once we'd checked in we had a cheeky bonus! We arrived at the room which was not a double room but a double suite! Awesome!! We also had a... More

Stayed here with a friend for a birthday night out and first impression on the outside was how pretty, right by the sea but inside is a different story. In need of a major makeover, signs of wear everywhere. On check in it seemed awkward but it was as the receptionist was in training, we wanted to pay for our... More

I stayed here many years ago and enjoyed my stay but it has certainly gone down hill in many areas. The bed was possibly the worst I've ever slept in, I woke up aching. The bath was designed for people no taller than 4f which didn't help ease my back/hips. Check in was slow and we were put in what... More

We stayed here on business and my colleague and I were working at the BIC and needed a hotel for 2 nights. The location is amazing and right on the beach and very close to the BIC if you are visiting there. However the hotel itself was a bit old fashioned and also very very hot. The radiators in the... Stayed here for one night, we paid £26 for Bed and breakfast, the room was a square box in an annexe overlooking a roof covered with rubbish, dinner was £12.95 and although adequate was not brilliant. The breakfast was fine except they were running out of everything so I had to return twice to get a plate of food all... More
