We enjoyed our visit here and managed to take a rather steep descent through some woods to get to the beach. We found the cable railway after this. However it gave us an appetite for a coffee and cake by the sea.

The Oddicombe beach is great with access via a steep path or the Cliff Railway. The beach is sandy/shingle and has a toilet, cafe/restaurant facilities close by. When we were there, there were several jetskiers which the kids enjoyed watching. We even saw a seal...More

The journey down to the beach in a rail coach was fabulous and the views were amazing. They were clean, tidy and safe. The beach was clean and not many down there. The restaurant was very well run and food gorgeous.

Went down to the beach on the cliff railway. Had tea and cake in the cafe at the bottom. Walked around the museum of the Cliff railway and watched the film of the history!

Well worth a visit to these popular beaches. It's a windy narrow road down with the car and spaces are limited so it's good to go early. It's sheltered, the water's very clean and great for swimming. It's in shade by late afternoon. There's a...More
