Good views of the bay. Unusual cliff railway dating back to 1926. It has its own theatre cafes and restaurants

There is so much to see and do around the area, or just relax on Babbacombe downs. A must for any tourist. Take the open top tour bus from outside Debenhams in Torquay for a fun and informative tour in parts of Torquay you don't normally see. There are several theatres in the area, for evening shows. Also sandy beaches... More

The views are magnificent, take plenty of pictures. Clear water, wooden bridges, small waterfalls and pebble beaches. We could've easily spent a full day relaxing if the weather was better, unfortunately it was wet and windy for us. Still worth a trip even if it is raining. There is a nice historic pub with food and drinks overlooking the sea.... More

A very pretty and special part of Devon. Will need to return to visit the cliff top railway. Walk along the cliff top and visit the model village whilst here.

Cary Arms was a lovely place for a dozen or so of us to have a family reunion meal on a warm September evening - food was great, views over the sea sensational, staff friendly and efficient - they even took a group photo of us after the meal !) And we had two energetic children with us too. Car... More

Whenever we are in Torquay and surrounding areas we always stop on the cliffs of Babbacombe to take in the views and pop into one of the good eateries on the clifftop our favourite being The Babbacombe Inn. Very good value and good choice.

Our visit to Babbacombe mid February was very good. We stood on the cliff top and looked at the derosion of the cliff walls and this really made you think, Also the theatre show on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening is brilliant and we would recommend it to all. A very good laugh, good costumes, a very good show. A... More

From Torquay town centre, drive up a long hill road (or get the tourist bus) and you find Babbacombe. Nice beach and sea view with a hotel/restaraurant but not a great deal to do there. Lots of older couples sat there with flasks and sandwiches but not a lot to do for children. The hill train was pretty cool and... More

Amazing location, with great coffee houses and restaurants. Wide range of accommodation provided from intimate bed and breakfasts to mid size hotels. Amazing walks and views. Beach is beautiful. Lots to do and see.
