Based in Torquay on the English Riviera, this family friendly Torbay Council owned museum and gardens is a centre for creativity and culture with a seasonal programme of exhibitions, events and activities across visual arts, history and live performance. Didn't visit the house due to time constraints but the ruins and gardens are very interesting with good signage and explanations of what you are looking at. The tropical greenhouse is fascinating.

What a pleasant surprise Torre Abbey was, we found details in a leaflet in the cottage we were staying in and decided to visit, very good exhibition in the house and the grounds were very pleasant

This is well worth a visit, the ticket costs £8 for an adult and gives you 2-day access. Plenty to see with a very nice art gallery included and gardens.
