Devil's Point gets its name from the treacherous tides that meet at this point. One can carry out many pleasing pastimes here. Fishing, walking, swimming, whilst all the time having a interesting vista, with Mt Edgecumbe park to the right of the scene, naval boats arriving and leaving from the Naval Dockyard at Devonport. Yachts and pleasure cruisers around the... More

A spot on the Royal William Yard where you can leave me for the entire day. You have great views on passing boats in a real quiet piece of nature.

Great views, although youngsters can be quite annoying with their music and revving their cars up,then chucking fast food waste onto the carpark, even though bins are available, Cars usually gone by 10.30/11pm

A great place to sit and watch the ships go by. You can do a short walk down to the end where the fishermen are or walk the path to the Royal William Yard for coffee or catch up with friends. A large free car park but it has become increasingly more difficult to find a parking space, but it... More

For many years families of naval personnel have arrived here to wave goodbye to loved ones or cheer them on as the ships arrive home - think what it was like in 1982 after the Falklands. It is a great place for a picnic, sunny days sat on the grass, there is free parking and good rocks for fishermen who... More

Suitable for a stroll or a dog walk or even for yoga/pilates. The free car park is a huge plus. There are amazing views across the entire Hoe, The Sound, Drake's Island, the Tamar estuary and across to Mount Edgcumbe park. Fresh air, green grass, amazing scenery. Love it.

This glorious free area is a boon if you want somewhere to watch the Royal Navy ships come and go or to greet loved ones when they come home. It's also a gorgeous place for a picnic on a sunny day or somewhere to get moody on cloudy stormy days - fantastic views of Plymouth Hoe and the Breakwater.

I have been coming here since I was a kid, and now I live closer I try to visit as often as possible. It is a lovely, well-maintained green space a few minutes' walk from Royal William Yard, or 20-30 minutes walk from the town centre via Stonehouse. It's always lovely to sit on the grass or a bench on... More
